Introducing the ValidiKey 20 Cabinet solution, which features both LAN and WiFi connections, making it flexible to deploy. It also features an integrated touch screen, so that entry of PIN and Job Codes is achieved easily. The screen also provides User feedback on the collection and return of CyberKeys. This cabinet if fully compatible with the generation 2 CyberKey range – as well as Generation 1 rechargeable CyberKeys (CK-RXD and CK-RXD2).
Automated key control cabinets are common in many businesses. They can operate 24/7 and remove manual, costly and time-consuming processes.
However key cabinets that secure mechanical keys provide limited security after a key has been issued. These keys might be lost, duplicated, stolen or misused. The ValidiKey CKV-V20 offers a different concept by reducing key numbers. When keys are secured in the cabinet they are inactive, reducing any potential security threat. The ValidiKey provides a ‘shared’ key facility, so a key can be used by lots of people in a day. When a key is issued its permissions are tailored to the person carrying the key. The system administrator therefore only needs to consider how many people need a key at the same time, rather than issuing keys to every person that occasionally needs one.
Since on CyberKey can open all necessary locks and since keys can be shared, the number of keys is dramatically reduced. Staff and contractors simply verify their credentials through their RFID card or PIN code and within seconds the ValidiKey 20 will program a key and issue it.
Setting up the ValidiKey CKV-V20 is easy. The system administrator can remotely set up a person’s ‘access profile’ and send the details to the cabinet.
